I can't believe it, but it's finally time for me to start my Aussie adventure! All of my friends who are currently studying in Europe or Asia have been in their respective countries for almost a month, but Australia runs things a little differently. I'm flying to LAX today where I will have a layover that is almost uncomfortably long considering the flight from Phoenix to L.A. is about an hour. Then it's the 15 hour journey to Melbourne. I will arrive Monday morning, which means I completely miss out on Superbowl Sunday. Ali and I think that this whole "lost day" concept would make for a great movie...maybe it's because we just finished watching LOST and we have the idea of strange alternate worlds on our mind. Anyway, that's intellectual property right there, so no one steal our movie idea!
I would post a "night before" luggage photo, but of course it's still a work in progress. I had a two month long winter break, but I still waited until the last minute to pack. Instead, during my "night before," I ate fro-yo with the fam and listened to Men at Work and weird versions of "Kookaburra Sits in the Old Gum Tree" with Ali. Like everyone else though, I managed to fit five months of stuff into two fatty suitcases and two carry-ons. I will write again when I get there and hopefully have fun stories to share! I will miss everyone!

| Hanging out with my cousins and sister the night before! Is that William Rast in the leather? |
P.S.- "Bastard" is a term of endearment in Oz. That's what a man named Whitey told me.
Whitey for G.O.D. Miss ya, ya ol bastard!!!
